Drawing as a means of self-care and affirmation is a powerful practice to see and acknowledge the parts of ourselves that long to be seen and acknowledged
In this series facilitated by Chetna, we’ll take time to bring to paper some messages that we want to remember. We’ll spend time with our shadows, our light and visuals of worlds we want to see, all in community.
This workshop series is open to people with all drawing levels;
this is not a technical drawing workshop, rather it’s more about refreshing one’s mindset and practice in relationship
to creative expression, specifically via drawing.
Technique in this space is no where as important as open-mindedness and non-judgment.
We’ll meet via Zoom during the four Wednesdays in May
(the 5th, 12th + 19th, and 26th)
from 6pm - 7:30pm (mountain time)*
*please calculate the time per your location accordingly
By the end of the series, participants will:
Understand the art of affirmation
Have a different relationship to the practice of drawing
Have shared art in a non-judgmental and affirming community
Walk away with an arsenal of prompts to inspire affirmation and meaningful drawing
The living agenda for each workshop looks like:
Group check-in
Content presentation + discussion
Prompt-inspiration

Small-group sharing
Large group harvesting

We’ll leverage tools in:
Mindfulness
